Currently, compartments of an SBML model that have constant size will not explicitly show up in the amici model. While this is good in terms of memory, it is not really convenient. It would be nice to have all model quantities available in the imported model.
For example, so far, any interconversion of amounts/concentrations after simulation requires going back to the original SBML model.
