Postprocessing of spray flame

Hello,
I am working on several spray flames and would like to extract the data for each particle from the output files using yt. However, yt reports the particle data field_name as “boxlib,” which prevents me from accessing individual particle data. Performing the same procedure with PeleC works correctly. Is there a way to access individual particles in yt when using the PeleLMeX format? If there is a better approach, I would appreciate your suggestions.

You can obtain particle data directly from the plot file without yt. Check this script from a discrete-element-method code that use amrex particles - https://github.com/NREL/BDEM/blob/main/tests/read_and_avg_particle_data.py
