How do I cleanly and completely uninstall auto-cpufreq

I have very low level knowledge on Linux, so please bare with me.

Right now, I want it to completely stop working on my pc. At first, I installed it with my custom config file using the --install command. But now, even when I use the --remove command, the frequency of the cpu is still capped, and no matter what I do, auto-cpufreq is still running. How do I completely wipe it out of my pc? I don't want any trace of it left.

hi @ponleou , have you found a solution for this? im currently experiencing the same issue. i tried running:

sudo auto-cpufreq --remove

but i received this message. however, i can still see the icon on my desktop app.

auto-cpufreq daemon is not installed.

sudo ./auto-cpufreq-installer --remove will also delete absolutely everything and will also remove auto-cpufreq daemon along the way.
