I'm very new on this and I'm trying to replace my ISP router (Raisecom HT803G-WS2). This router can work as HGU or SFU.

As I understand (and I can be wrong!), HGU is the typical router that integrates all services, internet, voice and TV, in the same box. You manage the VLANs in the router and you can send untagged information to different ports or subnets.

SFU on the other hand is the interface between the optical network and your network. It can forward all the IPs that it receive (Transparent mode), can router a single one, or can be setup as QinQ, but you can not define the vlans, priorities and services in the firmware settings.

You can use SFU or HGU firmware with your ODI SFP.
