WordPress 6.8 Compatibility

WordPress 6.8 is set to release on April 15, 2025.

Let's use this issue to keep track of anything that may come up until then.

Once WordPress 6.7 is the minimum required version in Jetpack, we can consider implementing the following changes:

• Use the new block type registration APIs with wp_register_block_metadata_collection() #39921
• Blocks: use new useResizeObserver hook in @wordpress/compose #39922
• Repeat Visitor Block: use stabilized role attribute property #39924
• Subscriptions: use new plugin template registration API for subscription templates #39853
