Boost

Quick summary

Reported in forum thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/your-plugin-also-conflicts-with-the-featured-image-from-url-fifu-plugin/

They have reported that to the FIFU plugin authors already: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/page-freezes-when-trying-to-clear-metadata/#post-18423206

Steps to reproduce

Issue: if Jetpack Boost has the “Image CDN” function enabled (for which I installed it in the first place), then the Featured Image from URL (FIFU) plugin does not work correctly (does not display post thumbnails on the main page).

I have asked the user to check if the same issue occurs with Jetpack when the CDN module is enabled and report back here.

OpenAI suggested the following labels for this issue:

  • [Feature Group] Content Management: The issue concerns the management of content display on the site, specifically post thumbnails affected by plugins.
  • [Boost Feature] Image CDN: The issue relates to the conflict caused by the Image CDN feature of Jetpack Boost impacting the Featured Image from URL plugin.
  • [Feature] Jetpack: Since the problem stems from a feature of Jetpack (Boost), this label is relevant to indicate its involvement in the conflict.
