Is it possible to extend deadlines?

Hi Bora and Altuna Lab members,

First of all thank you for this amazing course! I have a small issue with the deadlines for this module though. It is not possible for me to keep up during the weekdays. I finish off everything on the weekend. The deadlines were until end of the week for the first two modules, could you possibly extend the deadlines for this one, too, including the homeworks?

Dear @mervebduman,
Every module in the course has its own dynamics and I didn't really promise that I would provide the same set of deadlines.
I think I provided a lot of extra time for each homework according to its complexity.

I am providing all the materials (slides, zoom sessions, homeworks) openly available on this repository and the google classroom. You can do these on your own pace and time whenever you want.

What matters is you invest your time and learn from these material. The assignments and deadlines are for the people who are active and to keep a pace in the workshop flow. It is also okay if you don't keep with the flow and do the materials on your own time, which is why we provide all the materials online.

Also, I really don't want to (and I can safely speak on behalf of other members) provide support over the weekend :)

Thank you for your reply. Not to list excuses but life happens, people can get sick or might have work-related deadlines. Is it possible to at least extend the hours until 11 pm? Then people like me who is working might have a chance to finish it in the evening.

Also, Could you please clarify the requirement for certificate of achievement? Is it again "Participants who do at least 50% in each of the quizzes/assignments will receive a Certificate of achievement"?

As a small comment, I think no one should expect help on the weekend - I did not for sure.

Yes, exactly, that is why I provide all the materials so that you can learn on your own pace.

Certificate in itself doesn't mean anything. It only certifies that you attended a workshop.
If you do everything on your own time and pace, it means you didn't attend the workshop, which is also fine.

What matters is that you learn the material. If you can't do it along with the other attendees because life gets in the way, as a backup, you have all the material available for you.

The deadlines are set for 11:59PM.
