Agenda

1) Main goals of the call
To get some actionable recommendations on how we can improve the UX of the web app (iOS and Android may follow). Happy to receive all types of UX feedback, but I can be more specific if I know the options!

2) The main users of the website are Consumers (i.e the customers of merchants). We get around 60k unique visits per month, which I think is relatively high for a bitcoin project. These users predominantly use the maps (Merchant and Community) and individual Merchant Pages (for boosting and commenting).

Other users are Community Managers, Community Members and Merchants (Premium Merchant Pages coming soonTM).

3) Future vision is to become irrelevant. 😉 Mid-term vision is to:

a) Offer Consumers with the best information (location, comments, reviews) possible and enable discovery for Merchants of interest to them.
b) Provide discoverability to Merchants and enable them to differentiate themselves through Premium Merchant Pages.
c) Provide tooling for geographic Communities (events, groups, etc.) to bootstrap and flourish.

This was our first website (yes, in the year 2022). We'd like to think we've improved, but we know we can be better and we would like your help!

I will try to join this call to see if I can help out. As a general rule of thumb (and WCAG 2.2 guideline) regular sized text against the background should have at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio.

3:1 contrast minimums also apply for large (18pt+) or bolded text (14pt + & bold) and any other graphics which convey meaning such as icons or focus indicators.

Thanks to all who joined, and the BTCMap crew for presenting their project. We covered quite a few areas of the website, and as expected for a first call, we didn't solve all the world's problem and there's a lot more to discuss and do.
