Undo doesn't decrease gem num collected

I notice that when a player performs undo after collecting a gem, its player didn't decrease accordingly (it should decrease by 10 since player undo collecting a gem).

This should be a bug. But it's unrelated to PA3 since, in multiplayer mode, there is no "undo" functionality.

That's true, but I may need it in my makeMoveSmartly() logic. May I delete the assert delta >= 0; in increaseNumGotGems() in GameState.java in order to decrease the gem collected by passing negative delta into this function?

You should not change the GameState in makeMoveSmartly(). The robot only decides which move to make. It should not modify the GameState.

If you really need to do this, it's OK, but If you accidentally modify the GameState inside Robot class, you are very likely to run into failing tests.

Actually, I intended to try more than one moves so I could only use makeMove() rather than use tryMove() since tryMove() can only be used once. However, I ran into other troubles and thought that is not a good idea, so I would like not to do that.
