Grading of the hidden case

I wanna ask whether our program will be graded according to the score that the smart robot gets on different maps?
Because I am not confident to reach an optimal solution for the robot. But I guess the smart robot should somehow need to be optimal otherwise anyone can just replace the smart robot with the dumb random bot right?
For instance and to be specific, I am talking about the single-player scenario.

No, this is not an Artificial Intelligence course. We don't expect you to come up with an optimal algorithm to win the game.
The only requirement is that the smart robot is smarter than the random. There is no need for the smart robot to win all the time, winning only most times is enough in this assignment.
