$rdf never set in scripts

I try to run in sequence the scripts download.sh and then rdf.sh.
But I have some issues.
So I gave a look at the scripts.
And I cannot see any assignation for the variable $rdf in the script rdf.sh.
And I get this strange message when running rdf.sh:
line 51: $rdf: ambiguous redirect

Can you help?
