Future of the bot

Will the work continue to work even after when discord pushes their new API after probably a year? Discord.py is discord.py is discontinued, slash commands are not implemented, will that put an effect?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I do have plans to maintain this once discord.py is no longer functional. I doubt it will be a year, likely more. The whole point of the bot is for small servers so the message intent changes will not affect the bot. I also don't believe discord will push breaking changes to the current API since so many people still rely on discord.py, but I have looked into library alternatives to replace it. Currently I'm considering PyCord as a replacement
