Describe the issue

An unintended blur or background overlay appears behind the selected item in the GooeyNav component. This occurs when the selection animation is triggered, causing a visual effect that doesn’t align with the intended UI design. The issue affects the visual clarity of the navigation, especially in designs that rely on clean or layered aesthetics.

Steps to reproduce

1. Click on a nav item to activate the selection animation.
2. Observe that a blurred overlay appears behind the selected item during or after the animation.
3. Repeat with other items — the visual overlay remains or reappears behind each selected nav item.
