Steps to reproduce

  1. Install infinity and any third party launcher (tested with Nova launcher and Lawnchair for 2 years)
  2. Open any browser
  3. Browse for any reddit link
  4. Click reddit link which will open infinity
  5. Open recents/quickstep menu
  6. Go to launcher or any app other than infinity
  7. Open recents/quickstep menu
  8. Go back to infinity
  9. Open recents/quickstep menu

Additional Information

This effect persists so long as infinity is open by any other app via link and will last until infinity is fully closed. I tested it since Pixel 8 Pro 2 years ago and even with very old versions of Lawnchair (from Pixel 2 XL). Likely has been happening for far longer however. This has only happened with infinity so far. Some things to note, I believe it is because the app that opens infinity pretends to be infinity until it goes back to its original viewport since I can see both infinity open and chrome showing infinity in the preview as a duplicate. So when infinity is closed from the app the opened it, it should be closed entirely.

Expected behaviour

No launcher icons in recents/quickstep preview

Current behaviour
