Is Rayhunter compatible with Australian cellular networks? Orbic RC400L is not available in Australia but the M7350 is. Prior discussions confirm M7350 v3 works in Europe. Assuming Rayhunter is compatible with Australian cellular networks, would newer revisions of the M7350 v5/6.20/7/8/9 be compatible? Is there a particular Linux distro that is recommended to use with Rayhunter? |

re tplink support in general: most versions of tp-link M7350 should work with rayhunter after #291 lands. the binary in 0.2.8 works for v3 to v8, but the installation procedure is entirely manual. after #291 there will be a one-click installer just like orbic. re australia: generally, if the device works in a country (just for getting a connection at all), and rayhunter supports the device, then that's good enough for rayhunter to work in that country. it seems the frequency bands in australia overlap with the ones the tplink supports: https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/AU
should not matter in theory but most likely ubuntu/debian-adjacent is the safest path. might be resolved with #291 as well since the installer will work on windows too. |
