Dear All,

I also thought to let everyone know that Yuanchao Fan has developed codes for multiple canopy layers in CLM that use multilayer canopy radiative transfer methods. The merge of these codes to the CTSM trunk might take some time.

This issue seems quite stale, and is likely subsumed by #1996, which has a long time horizon. Closing this issue for now.
