Help build SwayNC on Gentoo

Hello,
I'm trying to update Gentoo's SwayNC ebuild(this is a build script) to the latest version and am having trouble understanding why the build is breaking. I know Gentoo might not be familiar to you, but maybe if you look into the build log you can spot something I can't

This is the build log, it captures all output from portage, as well as the configure and build parts: build.log

EDIT: since the link will expire, for the protocol, the error message was:

../SwayNotificationCenter-0.12.1/src/notificationWindow/notificationWindow.vala:3.5-3.59:error: UI resource not found: `/org/erikreider/swaync/ui/notification_window.ui'. Please make sure to specify the proper GResources xml files with --gresources and alternative search locations with --gresourcesdir.

Any comment could be useful.

You have to be in the base directory (SwayNotificationCenter). The building of the xml files is very picky about that

Thank you very much! Portage was creating a build directory outside of the source directory so it was exactly that.
