Summary

If you are having errors appear. For example "position in stream exceeds length", it because an official update has not applied correctly. The best ways to fix are below!

Simple fix:

Always attempt a repair first and retry

Complex fix:

  • Close FMT
  • Locate install folder, Delete __FMTBackup
  • IF EXISTS: Delete CryptBase.dll, dpapi.dll && EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe
  • IF EXISTS: Rename EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe.backup to EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe
  • Repair Game
  • Launch FMT which should allow the system to regenerate the mod system

If all else fails:

  • Close FMT
  • Delete game installation folder
  • Reinstall Game
  • Launch FMT which should allow the system to regenerate the mod system
