Chart loses its contents when switching ui-page or reloading the page

Current Behavior

Chart data lost when switching ui-page or reloading the page.

Screen_1 shows the chart config

Screen_2 shows the data

Screen_3 shows how the charts look before I switch a page, after I populated the data

Screen_4 shows how the charts look after I switch to a different page via hamburger menu and back

Expected Behavior

Chart data is kept, just as for example gauge data, between page refreshes. Note I do not mean that the data should be kept across Node-RED restarts, just if you switch between individual pages or refresh the page with F5.

Steps To Reproduce

Create 2 ui-pages, one with charts. Populate the chart data, switch back and forth between the pages. The data is now gone and need to be repopulated.

• Node-RED version: 4.1.1
• Node.js version: Latest docker image 4.1.1
• npm version: Latest docker image 4.1.1
• Platform/OS: Latest docker image 4.1.1
• Browser: Vivaldi & Firefox

You have the x axis limit set to 1 hour and the data are older than that. There is a bug that should be fixed in the next release that means that the data are not immediately removed when you add them. Set the x axis limit larger. In the next release it should be possible to set the limit to 0 meaning that there is no limit.

You're totally right! I must've missed the x axis limit because it was displaying fine when I input the data, I thought if it displays the data it must mean everything's correctly configured.
That definitely was the culprit, I increased the limit and this behaviour no longer occurs.
