Linux: Deleting a user

To remove a user just input sudo userdel (username) in the terminal. This will remove the user from the system but it will leave the home folder behind which is good if you want to temporary deny a user access to the system.

If you want to delete the user’s home folder then you’ll need to run the sudo userdel -r (username) command.
