In this specific case the solution would simply be to replace the accent with the (typographically correct) apostrophe. I imagine a simple string-search-and-replace would do the trick. We should ensure that the solution only catches "orphan accents", so those that are not attached to a character, as there might be names or words in titles that actually warrant the accent.
