[Bug]: Notifications missing in v2.3.0 tray icon

Unread notification do not appear in tray icon since v2.30.

Reproduction steps

1. Install v2.3.0 pre-release.
2. Receive a new chat while Teams for Linux is in minimised mode.
3. Tray icon does not show unread message counter as expected.
4. Reverting to v2.2.1 fixes issue.

Hi @ChristoSnake, thanks for reporting.

Can you add some logs? We haven't change much on that area (only extracted the injection into a file) and having logs might tell us what the issue is.

Also, can you clarify if you have this issue also in the PWA/Browser? You mention yes, and if that is the case then the issue could be in Microsoft side, but I suspect that was just a wee mistake as that sentence can be a bit confusing.

aye, I think I am registering it twice now, and because v2 is in an iframe it gets confused (as it can't find the "window" object)

I will see if I can add something to 2.4.1 to fix this. Thanks for reporting!

Same problem here on Arch with KDE and the Appimage. Sometimes there's a notification, sometimes not. Back to 2.2.1 solves the problem.

Hi @mozo78 , thanks for the message.

That matches the idea of it been a race-condition. When that notification gets registered in the wrong window, it just doesn't work.

Can you send some logs to see if I can see something similar to @ChristoSnake ?

Ideally use this command that will give me even more logs and can confirm the issue in the front end.

ELECTRON_ENABLE_LOGGING=true teams-for-linux --logConfig='{}'

Do I have to receive message until I'm getting the log? For I rarely receive any messages and it'll be hard to impossible.

the initial log will work, but better if it includes a notification. Sometimes if you mark a notification as "unread" it pops up when you start the app.
