Seeking Guidance for GSOC 2026 and Request help for the project to a beginner

I am Aagam Jain. I am beginner in this Field and its program I couldn't learn python, Numpy, OpenCV and ur exercise but I will do it in these days from Youtube. I am from Delhi, India. I want to contributein GSOC 2026. I will do BCA from July 2026, I want a guidance for it How to contribute in project and when and what work will be do and How to solve the problems etc and I am a fresher and I am 20 years old So tell me what thing that can do in these days coz I have a dream to go in Coding and AI Technical Field I have done the Course of Graphic Designing From AIMS Media. I have alf Financial Crisis I want to resolve this problem and gain lots of Experience in this program and I want to ask that will its possible to learn both things in these days and will I able to make projects in these days and if yes so please help me I mail to you. I am contributing 1st time in this program. I am trying to contact you pls connect me I have to Choose open cv but this is not participate this year so I am choosing You So I want to take a help pls Help me.

just read the documentation [1][2][3]. It is very clear and it shows the instructions for all the GSoC-2026 applicants with JdeRobot.

1.- do not send direct messages (neither email nor linkedin). Interaction through JdeRobot Discussions is the preferred way to ask for support and receive feedback.
2.- do not expect immediate responses, we are busy people.
3.- if you are not fluent in Python/C++ programming you have very low chances to get selected in JdeRobot. GSoC is not a program to start programming, but to start contributing to open source international community. Programming skills are a requirement.

Will I have to make project which you give in ur community section in ur Organisation or we have to solve a problem pls reply me I will start learning python+open cv+numpy+follow line thank u

You choose one project inside the ideas list we have proposed https://jderobot.github.io/activities/gsoc/2026. Then you follow the applicant instructions we have published, and submit your proposal at the official GSoC website. Organizations finally select the best applicants.

So will we don't have to make projects and choose one of them from ur published idea list and tell that how will we help you in proposal

Select the project/s you like from the proposed ones in our ideas list, follow the applicant instructions (solving the technical challenge, filling the form, etc) and then write a draft GSoC-proposal following the general guidelines. After all those steps, contact the potential mentors of that project before the submission deadline, they will give feedback to improve your draft proposal. And submit it to the official GSoC webpage.
