Sorry, I broke the last release. We need import assertion for Vite

I need to take a look again, current (and previous) hacks are conflicting with Vite own behaviour…
Bit of a whack-a-mole problem.

We really need Vite support for import assertions, at least in the same way that Rollup does.

Until then, it's all hack and possible conflicts with more traditional way of handling CSS in a project…
Also it's difficult to support "true" import assertion from external (pre-built) node packages.

I keep this open until I sort this out.
