Toggling a git hook deleted the file?

I pressed the little pin icon next to one of my git hooks and it deleted the file? it doesnt even exist in .git/hooks anymore? Also how is this extension even supposed to work? will VSCode run the git hooks correctly when you use the ui to stage/commit/push changes?

if your file name has .sample it will rename the file name by remove .sample so git hooks can execute the hook for you

can you please share the git version which you are on and also share extension version
