Description

The features branches of mt_metadata, mth5 and aurora are about to merge into main. Once that is complete, some changes are needed here. This PR summarizes has the changes that were needed to make tests pass.

• N.B Once the features branches are merged, the testing_in_conda.yml workflow will need its branches updated to mains before this PR can be merged.

How Has This Been Tested?

• running automated tests against the features branches.
