Twitter Detailed role

This guide is a work in progress.

Finished guides:

JP New cards

  • ⚠️ VERY Time sensitive (< 1 min)
  • 🇯🇵 Japanese version
  • 7am UTC - 4pm Japan
  • Happens 4 times / month
  • Announcement dates are known in advance: 10th, 15th, 25th, 30th/31st

Detailed tasks

  • 1st tweet, prepared before the announcement:

    • You have to be online when new cards get released, have the tweet ready on your computer (you don't need to know anything in advance, the only thing that changes in that tweet is the image - see template)

    • Then when it's the exact time, go to llsif.info/jp and save the banner

      • OR open your own game and go to the scouting screen, take a screenshot and crop it

    • Add the banner/screenshot to the tweet you prepared in advance

    • Then go to the list of cards on School Idol Tomodachi

    • Take screenshots of the new cards, with the bottom bar

      • the UR
      • the SSR
      • all the SRs in one screenshot
        • on your computer: if they're not in the same line, add &rarity=SR at the end of the URL
        • on your phone: you should have an option to get the desktop-like view

    • Images should be like this:

      • 1st image: cropped scouting screen
      • 2nd image: UR
      • 3rd image: SSR
      • 4th image: all SRs

    • Hit "Tweet"!

    • For each card, starting with the UR, we write a tweet with basic stats

    • Just change the first name, attribute, skill, position in the ranking and link

    • 2 images: the cards images you can download from School Idol Tomodachi. Put the idolized first if possible

    • Do it for each card one by one, and start with the highest rarities, UR, SSR, then SR, then N!

    • the N also gets her tweet~

    • It's better to make separate tweets and not a thread

    • You might wonder why, it's because people like retweeting just the card they really like! They usually retweet the one with all the cards (either 1st or 2nd), then retweet their best girl card~

  • 1st tweet must be out max 1 min after announcement, other tweets as soon as possible but not as important

  • Announcement
    • You have to wait for the database maintainer to create the event though, but you can get the tweet ready in the meantime!
    • Go to llsif.info/jp/, download the banner
    • Write the tweet with the event type and the 2 idols
    • Then once the event is in the database, paste the link and hit tweet!

EN New cards

  • ⚠️ VERY Time sensitive (< 1 min)

  • 9am UTC
  • Happens ~4 times / month
  • Dates change, but you can know them in advance:
    • [ Aqours ] When the event is announced, you know the date when the event ends. New Aqours cards get released 1 hour after the end of the event, when the maintenance ends.
    • [ μ's ] The 1st day of the event, an in-game news will introduce the upcoming limited scouting box. This news will mention that they won't contain cards scheduled to be released at a certain date in the middle of the event. This is the date when the μ's cards will be released!
  • If the first part of a collection has already been released, we know that the next part will be released. We can schedule all tweets in advance and don't have to worry about being on time ;)
  • Fow new collections, we don't have a way to know which collection will be released next, as the order might be different from Japanese version. We can, however, predict all the possible collections and prepare images/tweets in advance.

Detailed tasks

  • Before the cards get released, prepare in advance the following tweets:

    • Go to http://schoolido.lu/cards/ and take a screenshot of all the cards that could be released, with the bottom bar:
      • the UR
      • the SSR
      • all the SRs in one screenshot
        • on your computer: if they're not in the same line, add &rarity=SR at the end of the URL
        • on your phone: you should have an option to get the desktop-like view
    • Search for the banner when it was released in Japanese version: link to search, then crop this image to remove any Japanese text (example: tweet)
    • Prepare this tweet:

  • Announcement dates are unknown, but we can know them in advance:
    • When Aqours cards get released (at the end of an event), the banner on the homepage will tell you until when the rate is higher for these new cards. This is the date when the next event will start, so the announcement will be the day before.
    • For example, this banner shows that the cards will have a higher rate until the 29th, which means the event starts on the 29th, so you can get ready to announce the event on the 28th! *Just imagine that this is an Aqours banner, OK? couldn't find a recent image ;p *
  • 1st tweet must be out max 1 min after announcement, other tweets as soon as possible but not as important

  • Every week or so
  • Slightly time sensitive (< 12 hours)
  • Happens once a week or so

Detailed tasks

  • It's recommended to subscribe to the Twitch channel and get notified on your mobile app when the channel starts streaming!

  • You can either watch the thing or just wait and only watch the love live part. I think the love live part is usually at the beginning so you don't have to watch everything.
  • They sometimes announce things in advance! When they announce something on klab game stations, you tweet about it~ See how to tweet about daily EN content
  • This goes for things they confirm as well!

  • Most of the time though, the only thing you'll have to tweet about is the B-sides exclusive songs. There's 2 separate tweets to make for this.

LoveLive News

  • Every day, whenever you're awake, when you see something, tweet about it
  • Make sure you get alarms from major Twitter accounts, Reddit informations, and various news websites. Learn more about alarms and notifications here.
  • We have 24 hours coverage with staff members in different timezones
  • Slightly time sensitive (< 12 hours)
  • Time consuming!
  • Good thing to know: most important, major Love Live things (like new anime, new projects, new big things, new important figures, etc) get announced at 9 am or 10 am Japan time
  • You have to follow all the news from various platforms very closely.
  • "Love Live" means the whole license, not just the game, which includes the anime, the concerts, the merch, events, other games, etc.
  • Most important things get announced on twitter, and most of the time the official tweet will link to the official Love Live website with an article that gives more information

Detailed tasks

Here are the steps to follow when you see something getting announced:

  • Figure out what it's about. If there's a link for more details, click the link. Use Google Translate or equivalent if you can't read Japanese, and don't hesitate to ask on Discord if you can't figure it out.
  • Download images to illustrate the new thing. You may also take screenshots if needed.
  • Write a tweet to summarize the news.
  • If you can't fit everything in one tweet, you can write an activity on school idol tomodachi (here's how) and link to the activity in your tweet
  • Note: Most of the time things can fit in one tweet with the image that goes with it.
  • We don't have templates... you can really write things the way you want!
  • If a lot of things or new merch get announced the same day, schedule tweets for the upcoming days. It's good to spread out news. However, if it's something big, or something a lot of people have been waiting for, tweet it right away!

Seiyuu News

  • Seiyuu = voice actresses
  • Every day, whenever you're awake, when you see something, tweet about it
  • Make sure you get alarms from all the seiyuus Twitter account (see list) and their Instagram account. Learn more about alarms and notifications here.
  • You can find the seiyuu's instagram account on each of the idols pages here.
  • We have 24 hours coverage with staff members in different timezones
  • Slightly time sensitive (< 48 hours)

Detailed tasks

Here are the steps to follow when you see something getting announced from a seiyuu, or a seiyuu posting a photo:

  • Figure out what it's about. If there's a link for more details, click the link. Use Google Translate or equivalent if you can't read Japanese, and don't hesitate to ask on Discord if you can't figure it out.
  • Download images to illustrate the new thing. You may also take screenshots if needed.
  • Write a tweet to summarize the news.

  • Note: most of the time, seiyuus will just post photos of themselves, without announcing anything specific. In that case, just add a cute description and post the photo~

  • Seiyuus will often tweet about their new products, such as a new albun, new single, new blu-ray, etc. Before publishing your tweet, go to this link and search for that item to see if it's available to order or pre-order with international shipping. Most of the time, it will be!

  • Schedule the same 2 tweets:

    • 3 times for JP: a day before the birthday date at midnight Japan time, the same day at 1am Japan time, and a day after at midnight Japan time.

After the event starts, all the scheduled tweets are very similar. They all use the full size image.

  • You can get the full size image after asking permissions to access this website:

  • Halfway through

  • 2 days before the end

  • 1 day before the end

  • 12 hours before the end

They're all pretty much the same, just the text changes slightly. You can also change the image to add 1 day left or 2 days left, you don't have to.

It's easy to schedule all of them in a row because the text is very similar, so you copy paste, edit, schedule, and again for the next one 😃

The tricky part is figuring out the right time to tweet. For the halfway through the time doesn't matter that much for the others it has to be 48 hours before, then 24 hours, then 12 hours, then exactly when it ends. It's a bit tricky, so to make sure I tweet them at the right time, I use this link (change to your city timezone). Then you enter the exact date time when the event ends (in UTC or japan time depending on EN or JP) and you can calculate from there.

    • JP in-game news are always in Japan timezone
