Reduce database size usage

Hello,

Regarding documentation https://www.manageiq.org/docs/reference/latest/quickstart_openstack_provider_guide/
Databse size growup over time, with 5000 Vm it use 175 GB per year and twice after 2 years. Seem to have an history about lot of things and never cleaning up.
We installed our instance of ManageIQ 9 month ago and today our DB stopped to work because database disk is full (50GB)
Is there a way to reduce history time ? few days only is enough.

Hi @jf-baltazar ,

Yes, there are a number of things that can be changed in the advanced settings that are used for retention purposes. Most values are kept for 6 months, but you can change them to be much smaller. Search the advanced settings for the words keep_...these are all of the things that are purged on a schedule.

@jf-baltazar Out of curiosity, can you show a list of your Top N tables by size? We recently found a bug where the fix may significantly reduce the vim_performance_states table.

We increased disk where located our DB to restart it.
Now DB use 13GB, lot of data has been released. We'll follow disk space and data usage. Maybe linked to WAL ?
Once I'll have more data i'll share it.
