2. This is also great. In fact, we should have a way to autogenerate a grav site: https://getgrav.org/features

4. This is a good idea, but requires moving the login & registration pages into the main page and using ajax to log in.

1 & 2: Grav or Caddy+hugo-- either would rock! Caddy has the advantage of automatically taking care of TLS certs via let's encrypt, which is more or less magical, considering how much time folks like us have spent dealing with that sort of crap over the years.
3) Something very simple, in fact I'm going to attempt it this afternoon
4) Works for me, if I get to digging in the code, I'll attempt it, as I'm next to a js expert...
