Design mockups and early ideation for a user experience
The extension is used to collect materials for cache, as well as quickly add text notes to the cache as a way to manually add context to the agent.
The desktop application is the primary method for interaction with the insights generated by the agent. The proposed functionality would also mirror the browser extension, but with the context of the user’s desktop environment.
Early thinking for interacting with the generated insights are primarily based on how we tend to categorize our thoughts into themes (or categories) for grouping ideas. Mirroring the behaviour of retrieving a thought -- the idea of finding high-level themes and then drilling down into detail. The appeal of this approach as a starting point is by working with the conventions set in place by modern interfaces, we can adapt over time. Human-centered design requires us to learn from each other and evolve the application over time as we identify how the tool is being used.
The design of the interface prioritizes the ability for advanced theming. This early system-thinking sets a foundation for scalable UI-decisions that feel seamless with the existing experience as new features are added. By providing a solution for customizing the interface, the end-user is able to alter the appearance for a theme as unique as the individuals themselves.
