Detailed instructions for how to convert your MMI region to RW

Hi everyone, I hopefully have a simple question, but I've struggled to find specific instructions for my model. I have a 2015 MIB1 high Audi A3 e-tron. I'm looking to convert my firmware to RoW, but all online guidance for my model ifs for installing EU firmware using M.I.B's 'convert to EU' menu option. I've done this and am on EU firmware, but despite getting the RoW 021d00ee FEC to show up as legal, the RoW maps will not install or initialise correctly - I get the 'navigation date are invalid' error message.

So I'm hoping someone can confirm for me - if I do the below, can I change my firmware from MHIG_EU_AU_K1555 to MHIG_RW_AU_K1556, re-patch in M.I.B, and install the RoW maps by doing the following?:

• Change the region to ROW in the variantinfo menu
• Change my navigation region to the Australian navigation region
• Enable user-defined mode and ignore region and variant in the SWDL menu
• Install MHIG_RW_AU_K1556 via the red engineering menu

Am I missing anything? what other settings or flags the 'convert to EU' function change, and can this be done manually so that I can install RoW firmware?
