Assistance Required: UPPV4.1 Stopping at WRFPRS_d01.1002 #1170
-
Dear all, I suspect the issue might be related to the number of digits in the output file format, but I am unsure where to modify this in the run_unipost script. Could anyone provide insights on the cause of this issue and how to resolve it? unipost_d01.996.txt Thank you in advance for your support. Best regards, |

Hi @pouwereou , Unfortunately, support for WRF ended a few years ago; use of UPP is supported with the Unified Forecast System (UFS) and grib2 output. We therefore recommend switching to the UFS Weather Model and associated applications in place of WRF because there is a lot more support available for the UFS, and the UPP is included in certain application workflows, like the Short-Range Weather (SRW) Application workflow. For issues related to use of UPP with WRF, you may find some useful information in Discussion #679, which talks about some of the changes that are required for running WRF with UPP v11.0.0. You may also find support on the WRF/MPAS forum. @WenMeng-NOAA may be able to comment on whether your hypothesis about the number of digits in the output file format is correct. However, our teams cannot spend time delving into WRF-related issues for users if the issue requires additional troubleshooting. Best, |
