UK500 DOMAIN

  • Cut-out of AMM15 domain

  • It has 2.5M sea points and 30 vertical sigma levels (rn_rmax=0)

  • Without W&D, it runs with the same time-step of AMM15 (rn_rdt=80; nn_baro=30 )

  • With W&D, it runs with (rn_rdt=40; nn_baro=30 )*

  • Without W&D, NEMO-UK500 is as computationally expensive as AMM15 (which has 1.5M sea points and 50 vertical hybrid levels).

  • With W&D, NEMO-UK500 is more computationally expensive than AMM15 (but AMM15 has not been run with W&D yet)*

  • Irregular boundaries: the deeper areas (> 250 m) have been cut, plus some part of the eastern part of the domain for reducing computational time. image
