[16.0 -> 17.0] hr_attendance access right issue, how to get detailed access logs?

hr.attendance is giving an access error message on screen when a user is only given User: Read his own attendance.

From log:

WARNING odoo odoo.http: You don't have enough access rights to run this action.

Giving the user Officer: Managing attendance alleviates the issue, but now exposes other sensitive information.

How do I determine which specific table or row permission caused the error or warning above?
