Hi there!
I’m using a Hitbox built on the GP2040 firmware and have a feature request for SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) mode customization.
As the firmware already supports Up Priority (a.k.a. Stickless), Neutral, and Second Input Priority modes, I won’t dive into existing behaviors—you likely know them inside out! My ask is simple: could you implement a new SOCD mode where:
Left/Right: Follow the mutual override logic (consistent with how opposite horizontal directions work in Second Input Priority), with no neutral output when pressed simultaneously.
Up/Down: Default to neutral (center position) when pressed together (matching the behavior of the Neutral mode for vertical directions).
In short, this mode would combine horizontal override (Left/Right) and vertical neutral (Up/Down) behaviors. It’d be a great addition for players who prefer distinct SOCD rules for horizontal and vertical inputs.
Thanks a ton for your incredible work on the GP2040 firmware—we really appreciate it!
Best regards,
(I wrote this using translation software, and I apologize for any misunderstanding.)
