CHECK_FATAL_ERR goto fn_exit instead of MPI_Abort CHECK_ERR_ALL calls MPI_Allreduce() to check errors collectively. CHECK_EXP_ERR_ALL is similar but checks a given, expected error code add two constants for testing collective and independent modes
