Context

I'm trying to download this software on a Microsoft Surface Pro 11 that runs on a 64-bit processing system with Windows 11 Home.

Question

What is the easiest way to download this software? I've tried to download it using Docker and Binary Installation Using Anaconda, but I can not figure out how to do it. I've tried multiple times to uninstall/delete things and then reinstall them, but nothing seems to work. The instructions are not super clear and kind of confusing for someone not super tech-savvy. Please Help.

Hi @lilly-m13,

I believe the RMG team did a video on the installation, seen here. This, I hope, can help you with the Docker installation. However, if not, let me know which part of it is not working for you and I will attempt to help further.

Regarding the binary installation, I see you have a Windows PC. I believe the binary will only work when you have a linux or mac. Or, you install WSL, and then install miniconda/anaconda on your WSL image. But that may be a bit more of an involved process. I think the team usually recommends Docker for ease of use
