CMD command issue

Once the command $ ./welcome -i127.0.0.1 -dVisionary-S is entered, the cmd gives me the following error:
"welcome" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

OK, the getting started is somewhat missleading with its cd build. In build the folder structure of the repository is ressembled.
Thus in your case the executable of the specific sample lies within: build/visionary_welcome/cpp
Since you use localhost IP I assume you're using ssh port forwarding. Please be aware that the specified performance is not reachable with this indirection.
Please setup a point-to-point connection and assure your consuming host can reach the camera via a dedicated 1Gb ethernet connection.
