Component: Self Assessment
Previously, the self assessment was part of the Transition page. Per business requirements, the self assessment page has been moved to its own page in order to make the app more of a step based flow. The user now has to fill out the assessment and click submit.
In the self-assessment.html, the ng-For method is used to loop through all of the areas. The user can select either the view more button or the ellipsis to view the full description of a category. Before, the user only had the view more button but going through it I felt it was intuitive for the user to be able to click on the ellipsis as well.
The sliders utilize the IonChange method. Typically, in order to record a score for an area of the assessment utilizing the IonChange method, the sliders must be moved. If not, the category would not have registered in the data that is submitted to the backend. However, the defaults are set in the for each method in the self assessment page constructor on line 94. The thinking was to leverage the work from the previous reboot group and change it to fit the step based flow requirement.
If the assessment submission is not successful it will alert the user to submit the assessment again. A successful submission will route the user to the Resources page with a chart of their newly submitted assessment along with their lowest score.
