I created an alert after sorting the list, how do I get the list to return to its original position when I press the "Cancel" button on the alert? without refreshing the website

What's happening now is that when I press the "Cancel" button, the position remains the same as I have done sorting and if I want to return to the original position I have to refresh the website,
