Write metadata when saving images

If the location and time of a friend's post are known, is it possible to embed the location and time in the metadata when saving the image? This may be difficult if you currently have to open the image in a browser and then save it.

It's a bit harder, images are compressed and given as webp, to do this I have to first download the image locally or in memory, then find a crate or a package that can write metadata to an image file and then ask the user to save it to a certain location.

It seems doable but it's low priority for the current state of the project and my lack of time for the development of it. Any contribution would be appreciated.
