Option to list MIME types in file listing

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Imagine:
Files with a long filename (scrolling)
Two files with the same name but a different extension, maybe a .odt and the corresponding .pdf
Now the only way to tell em apart is to wait for the file extension at the end of the name to scroll past.
(Yeah I know PDFs have a different symbol this is just an example)

Describe the solution you'd like
Show the file extension or MIME type in the same line that displays the last modified date and file size, preferably all the way to the right

For more clarity have a look at my crappy mockup, proposed changes are in green
I have to say I like the different collor to make it visually different, but that would only make sense inkase of it being the MIME type instead of just the file extension
