Settings -> Cache -> Cache Minimum TTL

I was setting this to 300, thinking it would reset the cache TTL to be 300.. but instead it wasn't caching unless it was 300..

The minimum TTL option just resets the TTL for records which have TTL < the value set. For example, if a record has TTL value of say 60 and you have the option configured to 300 then the record's TTL gets updated to 300 and gets cached for 300 sec. If a record's TTL was 900, and the option has 300 configured then the TTL of the record is not changed and it gets cached for its original 900 sec value.
