Is it possible to apply the PETPVC toolbox to perform partial volume correction (PVC) on structural MRI images, such as T1- or T2-weighted sequences, instead of PET images?
If so, what would be an appropriate way to define the point spread function (PSF) in this context, given that structural MRI lacks a standardized PSF like PET systems do?
Additionally, if I apply PVC to a modified aseg.mgz file (e.g., a 4D segmentation volume), can the corrected output still be used for whole-brain analysis in subsequent pipelines such as FreeSurfer or other atlas-based quantification tools?
