[FEATURE REQUEST] latest-release tag and/or automatic self-update

Would it be possible to get a latest-release tag on this repository for those of us that aren't using docker?

Updating standalone VueTorrent was very simple based on it's format and installation instructions:

Also, since this is a node app, is there any way to engineer a self-update procedure for the backend app itself? I know the contained frontend auto-updates.

Depending on what you currently use for running the app on your server it isn't really different from that. Steps for updating from source are really generic for a node app, I'll let you adapt it to use your current system.

cd /path/to/app
#TODO: Shutdown app (supports SIGTERM)

# Either update code to latest version
git pull
# Or checkout latest release
# git fetch && git checkout origin/latest-release

# Reinstall updated dependencies
npm ci

# Start updated app
node src/index.js

I can create a latest tag to directly checkout the latest version instead of the long git command
