[BUG] Downloading Proton with Steam closed logs out user on next launch

Describe the bug
Downloading a new Proton version via ProtonPlus while Steam isn't running logs me out of my account on the next launch.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Have your Steam client closed
2. Download any Proton version for Steam
3. Open your Steam client and you'll be logged out

Expected behavior
Not getting logged out.

Desktop:

• OS: CachyOS 6.15.8-2 250713
• DE: KDE Plasma 6.4.3
• Type: AUR

Ill take a look today when I have time, but that never did that to me.
