Let's write a page that explains how useful Playground can be for contributing to WordPress documentation for end users.

A few ideas on what to cover:

  • Creating a new site (locally in wp-now/VS Code vs in the browser Browser)
  • Preinstalling theme building tools
    • Create Block Theme plugin, Gutenberg plugin, Theme Check plugin
    • Install a starter theme – could be Block Canvas, could be a custom theme from GitHub
    • Import demo content
  • Building the theme – could just link out to other existing resources
  • Exporting the theme
    • Saving it as zip
    • Exporting directly to GitHub
  • Reviewing the / adjusting theme
    • Importing from zip
    • Importing from a GitHub PR

Done is

  • A Pull Request for this repository proposing a new documentation page at packages/docs/site/docs/02-start-using/05-how-to-create-a-theme-using-playground.md
  • A YouTube video would be amazing
