Use ZFS snapshots in lieu of --quiesce

I'm in the processing of designing my system and seeking to minimize the attack surface in the guest by not installing the QEMU Guest Agent. Do you think it's reasonable to use ZFS in my guest and create hourly snapshots via Sanoid in lieu of quiescing the file system? In theory even if ZFS and qmpbackup aren't synchronized I should be able to retrieve a crash-consistent snapshot from within an hour of when a qmpbackup backup was made.

quiesce using the agent is really the only sufficient way to get it all consistent. Even a zfs snapshot wont thaw the filesystem
within the VM, so it will only be crash consistent.
