How can I change the font and the font size?

I am completely lost when I try to understand the files "/_sass/_themes.scss" or "/_sass/themes/_default.scss". I am not from the Web dev background. Can someone please help me by explaining how I can change the font universally (I want to use Trebuchet MS) and also how I can change font sizes for individual sections or elements? Thank you.

The Wiki page has some additional pointers, but basically you need to change the settings under "System Typefaces" in _sass/_themes.scss to change the font and the settings under "Type scale" to change the font sizes.
