  1. have you checked, that running this file would undo registry changes done by the installation REG file?
  2. please indicate in README.md that uninstallation can be done by running this file.

Just helping to answer this.

I have tried running this file and it would undo registry change made by run_editor.reg

Essentially on run_editor.reg, it creates 2 registry key (phpstorm and inside it), with running this uninstall.reg will remove those keys for Windows OS. Surely its different for Mac OS

Ah, slightly unintentional.

Anyways, the .reg file proposed by you would also work.
